Southern California Training in Bowen Family Systems Theory
 
Established in 1999 by Carolyn Jacobs, Psy.D. to provide education and training to professionals interested in the principles and concepts developed by Murray Bowen, M.D.  Emphasizes "systems thinking" as a way to conceptualize human functioning.  The focus is on developing a way of thinking that provides responsible and thoughtful application of Bowen theory to one's personal life, clinical practice, and/or work system.
 
 
Programs Offered:
 
  • Private psychotherapy practice (individuals, couples and families)
 
  • Bowen theory coaching and supervision
 
  • Monthly Bowen theory consultation groups
 
  • Monthly web cast conferences (September thru June) with live "real-time" hook-up between the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family/Georgetown Family Center faculty in Washington, D.C. and seminar participants (16 Approved CE Credits in California)
